Set up Valorune on macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel).
Valorune has two macOS builds: Apple Silicon and Intel. Your invite email includes links for both.
To check which chip you have: Apple menu → About This Mac. Look for “Chip.” If it says Apple M1 (or M2, M3, M4), use the Apple Silicon build. If it says “Processor: Intel,” use the Intel build.
The download is a .dmg file.
.dmgThe app is signed and notarized by Apple, so it should open without any warnings.

“Valorune is damaged and can’t be opened” This can happen if the download was interrupted. Delete the app, re-download from the link in your invite email, and try again.
App doesn’t appear after dragging to Applications Check if Valorune is already running (look in the Dock). If so, right-click the Dock icon → Quit, then reopen.
Security warning appears In rare cases, macOS may still show a warning. Right-click the app → Open → Open again. You only need to do this once.
AI backend fails to download Check your internet connection. The backend is a one-time download (~200 MB). If it fails, you can retry from Settings later. Writing and wiki-links work without the AI backend. AI features require it.
