Why we're different

Not another AI note app

Most AI note apps auto-tag everything. Same broken system, just faster. More tags, more chaos.

Valorune skips tags entirely.
You write. Related notes find you. Structure emerges on its own.

Questions

Frequently asked

Can I import my existing notes?

Yes. Drop in your markdown files. Indexing discovers connections automatically, even in messy vaults.

How is this different from other AI note apps?

Most AI note apps auto-tag or auto-categorize, which creates chaos faster. Valorune doesn't tag. It builds a semantic map and surfaces connections while you write. And it doesn't write anything. Your words stay yours.

Is the AI local?

Semantic processing uses cloud LLMs because local models aren't good enough yet. Notes are processed but never stored or used for training. Zero data retention agreements with all AI vendors. The markdown files always live on your machine.

What if the AI gets connections wrong?

Discovered links appear as suggestions. You decide which to keep. Wiki-links let you create definite connections when you need precision.

What platforms are supported?

macOS and Windows now. Linux is on the roadmap.

Is it free?

Core features are free forever. AI features are usage-based. Your notes are local markdown. You own them regardless.
